All the newcomers to Amazon may face invoice and utility bill requests from Amazon, and the latter will suspend your account until you meet its expectations.
Well, Amazon was used to send these requests a little less, but not now.
We all know that Amazon likes to introduce new rules and policies because satisfied customers are their top priority and they do their best to rule out some irresponsible sellers and their counterfeit products. That’s it.
Invoice and utility bill requests: Tips you should know to reinstate your Amazon account
Amazon utility bill
The utility bill for Amazon is a so-called verification of your account that helps confirm your residential address.
It generally includes the internet, electricity, gas, phone, garbage disposal, etc.
Why may Amazon send utility bills request?
You may receive a request for utility bills:
– If you are a newcomer and Amazon wants to verify your identity;
– If you want to become a professional seller;
– If Amazon detects some violations.
While preparing a utility bill, you should include:
– Amazon seller utility bill;
– Address and bank details of the supplier;
– Contact details (name, address, phone number, email, etc.).
It is recommended to include a QR code for the website of your supplier as well as all the checks you have that may interest Amazon.
Remember that all data you provide may correspond to the data you have indicated in your Amazon account (and this concerns both utility bills and invoices), while the terms of your bank card or some other details should not be expired.
Let’s move on.
Invoice
An invoice for Amazon is another verification that helps them confirm that you sell qualitative products within the law!
Invoices include all the information about your items: their quality, quantity, price, features, etc, as well as the information about your supplier.
You may receive a request for invoices:
– If Amazon detects some violations in the quality/authenticity/condition of your product;
– If you want to have access to sell goods from limited categories;
– If you want permission to add a listing to your inventory.
While preparing an invoice, you should include much more information:
– Invoice date;
– Your first name and last name;
– Company name;
– Email;
– Phone number;
– Billing address;
– Shipping address;
– Payment details (last 4 digits of a payment card or PayPal);
– Product name/brand/model/ASIN;
– Quantity/price/date of purchase of the product;
– Your supplier’s name/address/phone number;
– Copies of invoices/receipts from the supplier for the last 365 days.
You can include your supplier’s email and the website link.
And once again: make sure to indicate the information in the invoices EXACTLY the same way it is indicated in your Amazon seller account.
We highly recommend you not to indicate invalid data (i.e. phone number of your suppliers or shipping address) because Amazon calls all the suppliers and checks all the addresses you include in the document.
While calling your supplier, Amazon wants to make sure that:
– the supplier works within the law;
– the supplier has all the necessary documents;
– the supplier is ready to provide these documents to Amazon managers.
If you still are not sure what you should/shouldn’t include in your documents, you may contact us and our managers will help you.
Whatever you face, remember that everything could be overcome and we in Amaz.Markets are right next to you during your Amazon journey!
