We will answer the most important questions regarding delivery.
If I sell on European marketplaces, do I need to ship my goods to Europe?
Yes. Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) cannot fulfill your orders on a European marketplace with inventory held at US fulfillment centers.
Can I send goods directly from the manufacturer to the European fulfillment center?
Yes.
How much does delivery to Europe cost?
Shipping costs, duties and customs duties may vary depending on the size, weight and contents of the package.
Amazon has several FBA and self-service providers in Europe who can help with freight rates.
There is currently no preferred carrier program. For pickup, most international carriers like DHL, FedEx, UPS can also facilitate shipping, duties and customs.
Is Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) in Europe different from FBA in the US?
The FBA in the US is very similar to the FBA in Europe. As in the US, FBA Europe will help you deliver products to customers, manage customer service, and process returns on your behalf.
When you use FBA in Europe, you will receive a Prime badge, which will increase your ad’s appeal to millions of European customers who value Prime’s fast delivery capabilities.
FBA offers also have a higher chance of winning a Buy Box. FBA fees vary by market and category, as well as delivery times to a Prime customer. Find out more about the European FBA.
How to ship goods internationally directly to your customers?
If your inventory is located in a different country than the fulfillment center, you need to export your products from the source country and import them to the destination country. You will act as the exporter of the record in the country of origin and the importer in the country of destination and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country of origin and country of destination.
Amazon is not responsible for any customs or taxes associated with FBA inventory. Any parcels arriving at the Amazon fulfillment center with customs duties paid will be returned to the sender.

Send your inventory to Amazon’s European fulfillment center and select an fulfillment program to help you sell across Europe
There are several programs to help you sell to Europe: Pan-European FBA, European Fulfillment Network FBA, Multi-Country Inventory FBA and FBA Export
Pan-European FBA
The program allows you to fulfill offers in all European stores from one inventory pool without incurring a single international order fulfillment fee.
The main advantages of the PAN-EU program:
- Simplified inventory management: ship products to Amazon European fulfillment centers in your country of choice and let Amazon distribute them based on anticipated demand.
- Low implementation costs: Amazon distributes your products across Europe at no additional cost. You only pay the local fulfillment fee for the customer’s store. On the contrary, when you sell to customers in other stores through the European Order fulfillment network (EFN), you pay an international commission for every order shipped.
- Reach millions of Prime customers: You can sell your products in all six European Amazon stores that are Prime eligible.
- Ensure fast, reliable delivery: By keeping your products close to your customers, you can trust Amazon to quickly fulfill and deliver your orders.
- Count on Amazon’s reliable 24/7 support: Amazon provides customer support in local language from six European Amazon stores, handling customer requests, returns and refunds so you can focus on your business.
European Fulfillment Network FBA (EFN)
It allows sellers with a European store account who are also registered with FBA to store their inventory at their local FBA fulfillment center. When selling through EFN, sellers must localize their source store offerings to other European Amazon stores so that local buyers can buy in their local language.
For example, a customer in Germany can purchase an offer from an Italian seller listed on the German-language site Amazon.de after the seller registers their FBA products in Italy with a store in Germany. The order is then dispatched to the buyer from the seller’s local Italian fulfillment center.
Multi-Country Inventory FBA (MCI)
This program allows you to send FBA inventory to Amazon fulfillment centers in multiple countries of your choice across Europe.
With MCI:
- Your customers get faster on-site delivery if your products are in fulfillment centers close to where they live.
- Your listings qualify for expedited shipping, including 1 day Amazon Prime shipping, FREE shipping and next day shipping (if available).
- You save on shipping costs by shipping in bulk to local fulfillment centers rather than sending individual orders across the border.
FBA Export
FBA Export allows you to fulfill orders of eligible products to mailing addresses outside of your original store, making your offerings available to customers in the EU and worldwide. They can purchase them from the original store where you entered your offers in the language of the original store.
For example, a customer in the Netherlands can purchase an offer from a German seller on the German-language site Amazon.de if the seller has activated FBA export on their original German marketplace.
So that’s it!
